Our History
Founded in 1964 on the vision that Catholics of Vallejo would grow as people of faith, united with the God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, St. Catherine of Siena Parish has prospered both physically and spiritually. For the past 45 years, parishioners have gathered in this welcoming community, inviting all to join in prayer and community. As one united parish, we are bound by our faith and the parish’s vibrant programs of spiritual, educational, and social ministry.
Today, more than 3,000 families calls St. Catherine of Siena Parish their spiritual home. Our children participate in an expansive religious education program, 326 children attend our parish school, we sponsor nearly 70 active parish ministries and hundreds of volunteers serve the educational, outreach, evangelization and social needs of our faith community.
To accommodate the diverse needs of our active parish community, we must plan for our parish of tomorrow, developing and expanding ministries and outreach and we must be good stewards of those physical resources provided by those who came before us. Yet, with significant physical space limitations we are truly challenged to meet the myriad of worship, educational, social and fellowship needs of our Faith Community.
