A Message From Rev. Jesus Soriano

Dear Parishioners & Friends of St. Catherine of Siena Parish:

St. Catherine of Siena Parish has been built upon the foundation of a strong Parish family. We can all be proud of creating a faith-filled atmosphere for all walks of life - - past, present and future. We are grateful to God for the priests and laity, bestowing upon us a marvelous heritage in the facilities we enjoy today: a beautiful church in which we worship; a school which has educated thousands in our faith; and, other buildings, serving us well for so many years.

As we approach our 46th Anniversary as a parish, it has become apparent that additional multi-use space is necessary to insure the continuing growth and vitality of our community. Imagine having facilities to serve the welcoming, hospitality, educational, youth, and senior needs of our entire parish family. For a moment, think about an extended care program for children of working parents; or parishioners sitting down together for a dinner; or socializing comfortably in a gathering area near the church on Sunday mornings; or a workshop sponsored by one of our parish ministries.

This is precisely what Building Our Church of Tomorrow …Today will accomplish. Our acquisition of La Petite Academy allows for new educational opportunities at our school. Our proposed parish life center will become a hub for parish life and activity. As good stewards of the physical resources provided for our use by those who came before us, now its our time — to build for our parish community of today and to leave a lasting legacy for those who will follow tomorrow

Our financing plan entails allocation of nearly $1.0 million in parish savings and, most important the success of Building Our Church of Tomorrow …Today, a parish-wide fund raising campaign to raise a minimum of $2.0 million in pledges.

Under the guidance of our campaign Executive Committee, over the next few months a volunteer team is serving as ambassadors, sharing our vision with their fellow parish and school community members. Please join with me and the many others who have already committed their time, talents and financial support to this vital parish-wide endeavor.
