Baptismal preparation class and baptism of an infant or a young child are available to registered parishioners.
BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASSES for parents and godparents are held every first Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in one of the parish school classrooms (usually in the Grade 8 classroom).
BAPTISMS are administered every third Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. (NO Mass) or during any of the weekend Masses (maximum of two kids per Mass; therefore, first-come-first-serve).
Parents who are registered and are active parishioners, please contact the Rectory at (707) 553-1355 at least one month prior to baptism.
Do the parents of the child being baptize have to be confirmed? If so, how can they be confirmed?

hi! my godson was baptized by a visiting priest so there was no certificate. Does he have to be baptized again to get a certificate? Can this be done at St. Catherine’s?

Valid Baptism is only done once, even if it is done by a visiting priest. You’ll need to contact the parish where the baptism occurred and request for certificate. If you have additional questions or concerns, please call the parish office at 707-553-1355.

In regards to Baptism, you will only need to attend one class. The Baptism preparation class are usually held on the 1st Saturdays of the month and held in the 6th Grade room.

1. Since Baptism takes place every 3rd saturday of the month, does that mean that it will be on April 16 for April? This is the date we were hoping for.

The only requirement is that at least one of the godparent be a faithful Roman Catholic.

I want to have my youngest son baptized next year in April. Do I have to take the baptism preparation class again if I had already attended a class last year? I had my other son baptized at St. Catherine’s last year.
Baptism preparation class certificates are good for 2 years. If you attended one in the past year, you don’t need to take another. If you need a copy of the certificate, please contact our rectory.
