Singles Ministry

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Southern Solano Catholic Community Singles (SSCCS) Ministry is to provide all single adults in our Catholic Community with a forum that allows each of us to grow spiritually closer to God, engage socially as brothers and sisters in Christ, and participate in Christian service for our community.
Vision Statement:
- To work together with other Vallejo parishes in engaging single adults into active involvement in community outreach programs
- To provide spiritual growth for single adults via retreats, pilgrimages, workshops and prayer groups
- To provide a social environment wherein single adults can have fun and relax with others who share their Catholic values
What the ministry is about:
If you're a single adult, including single, divorced, separated, widowed, come and meet your Brothers and Sisters in Christ!! We have a General Meeting
Monthly that rotates between the four parishes (St. Catherine, St. Basil,
St. Vincent, St. Dominic, and Holy Family). See our current calendar in the
Narthex for where General Meeting will be and join us for any or all of the
activities!
Suggested Attributes:
- I attend Mass alone and would like to get to know fellow parishioners.
- I’m interested in learning about prayer and praying as a group.
- I’m interested in fellowship with others to openly share and address
various topics, such as single life, single parenthood, growing in our Catholic
faith, and building an intimate relationship with God by knowledge of His
Word.
- I’d like to participate in fun activities with other single adults.
- I’d like to join in activities with my kids and other single parent
families.
- I’d like to volunteer with other singles for service in my community
and in my parish.
