The Knights of Columbus St. Catherine of Siena Council 14836 is a Catholic fraternal ministry of men dedicated to strengthening their faith and serving the Church, families, and community. Guided by the four principles of the Knights of Columbus—Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism—our Brother Knights strive to put their Catholic faith into action through prayer, fellowship, charitable service, and support of our parish and clergy. These principles reflect the wider mission of the Knights of Columbus to empower Catholic men to live their faith while serving their family, parish, community, and country.
At St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Vallejo, Council 14836 participates in parish liturgies and activities, charitable and community outreach, support for people in need, faith formation, pro-life activities, fellowship, and service projects. Through these activities, the Knights seek to strengthen Catholic brotherhood and answer the call to serve Christ in others—especially the poor, vulnerable, and those in need. Council 14836 is part of the worldwide Knights of Columbus brotherhood and serves the St. Catherine of Siena parish community in Vallejo.
Mensa Christi (Table of Christ)
Mensa Christi (Table of Christ) was established as a St Catherine Parish’s feeding outreach ministry specifically to feed our homeless brothers and sisters in the City of Vallejo. The group of volunteers prepare, cook and bag nutritious meals individually and distribute them in person to the different homeless encampments and to those who are wandering around looking for food and sustenance. In serving these individuals with love and compassion, not only does it improve their well being but also nourishes their mind and spirit by bringing back the human dignity they deserve.
